Studio SPJ: Covering the Occupy Protests

The Occupy Wall Street protests have spread across the nation and as reporters and photographers are covering these events in their communities some are finding themselves arrested simply for doing their job.

Join Studio SPJ producer Holly Fisher as she leads a discussion on journalists’ arrests and what SPJ and other groups are doing to protest this problem. Panelists include Paul Fletcher, president of the Virginia Pro chapter of SPJ; Jonathan Meador, a reporter for Nashville Scene; and Mickey Osterreicher, counsel for the National Press Photographers Association.

The 30-minute program takes place this Sunday, Nov. 20, starting at 11:00 a.m. EST.
