Here is the video recording of the online program about the Freedom of Information Act that SPJ’s Virginia Pro and Washington, D.C., Pro chapters held on Nov. 10, 2020.

The panel included:

  • Paul Fletcher, publisher and editor-in-chief of Virginia Lawyers Weekly, former national SPJ Freedom of Information Committee chair, past national president of SPJ and former president of the Virginia Pro chapter
  • Megan Rhyne, executive director of the Virginia Coalition for Open Government
  • Jim McElhatton, freelance investigative reporter
  • Evan Watson, investigative reporter with 13News Now (WVEC)

The discussion was moderated by Denise Dunbar, publisher and executive editor of the Alexandria Times and a member of the board of directors of the DC Pro chapter.
