A New Year Ahead

It’s been more than two months since we celebrated together at the George Mason Banquet. I hope you’ve been having a wonderful summer. Let me say again what a privilege it is to step into the role as president of the chapter. I’m thrilled that each one of you has pledged your time, energy and support to further our causes.

Right off the bat, I want to ask you for your patience and feedback. This is new territory for me, but I will do my best to serve you.

Laura Hutchison and I, with wise input from Brian Eckert, have already enjoyed talking about some ideas and overall goals for the coming year. Laura and I agree that we must establish some concrete, measurable goals for our chapter to work toward.

Those goals should fall into three areas that need our attention:

    membership,
    money,
    and vitality.

We’ll talk more about what we can do to energize, strengthen and provide for the chapter’s future at our next meeting.
