Cavalier Daily turns to Indiegogo for newspaper boxes

The Cavalier Daily has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for new newspaper boxes.

“[T]he physical newspaper still remains an important part of The Cavalier Daily and an important symbol in the UVa and Charlottesville communities,” the staff shared on the campaign page. “For this reason, we’ve sought to update our paper —changing its format — to incorporate it into our more modern look.”

The 10,000-circ student paper hope to raise $8,000 to cover 75 new boxes. Perks for donors include a T-shirt ($20), print subscription ($150) and your name on a box ($200). The paper reached 20% of their goal in the first three days of the campaign.
