SPJVA hosting free webinar on pandemic’s impact on Virginia media

The Society of Professional Journalists, Virginia Professional Chapter, will hold a free webinar on Wednesday, May 27, at 7 p.m. on how Virginia media professionals are handling the COVID-19 pandemic — both personally and professionally.

Our guest speakers include Terry Beigie, editor of the Greene County Record in Stanardsville; Sara Gregory, reporter at the Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk; Kym Grinnage, vice president and general manager of WWBT/NBC12 WUPV/CW in Richmond; Michel Pelletier, director of brand and marketing for 13News Now in Hampton Roads; and Allison Wrabel, reporter at The Daily Progress in Charlottesville and co-founder of the Virginia Is For Journalists Relief Fund.

The webinar will be moderated by Marisa Porto, executive in residence at Hampton University and former publisher and editor-in-chief for the Daily Press Media Group.
