Here are the results of the election we held in June to fill officer positions and seats on the board of directors for the coming year.

From June 26 to July 2, the SPJ Virginia Pro Chapter will hold an election to consider changes to our bylaws as proposed by the SPJVA board of directors.

SPJVA donates to Sierra Jenkins Scholarship Fund

In an email vote, the board of directors of the SPJ Virginia Pro Chapter agreed to donate $150 to the scholarship fund established in the memory of Sierra Jenkins, a Virginian-Pilot reporter who was fatally shot in Norfolk on March 19. The board also urged SPJVA members and supporters to consider contributing to the fund.
