Video & program of ceremony honoring Ray & Jean Boone

We have posted video of the ceremony we held on Thursday, Feb. 3, to present the 2020 George Mason Award to Jean Boone, publisher of the Richmond Free Press, and posthumously to her husband, Ray, who founded the newspaper 30 years ago.

SPJ,SDX fellow interns at ‘Meet the Press’

Josephine Walker, one of three Virginia college students who received 2021 summer newsroom fellowships from the Virginia SPJ,SDX Educational Foundation, used her stipend to support her internship with NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”
