Have a beer on SPJ VA!

SPJVA Kickoff Flyer

The Virginia Pro SPJ chapter has been inactive for almost two years. Recently, some chapter past presidents and others met to re-launch the chapter that was previously named best small chapter by the National SPJ board.

Please join SPJVA on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 1-3 p.m. at Triple Crossing Beer-Fulton at 5203 Hatcher St. in Richmond to kickstart the chapter. Whether you’re an old member, new member or just want to learn more about SPJ — we hope to see you there.

The first beer (or non-alcoholic beverage of your choosing) for current and prospective members is on the chapter! Attendees can indulge in additional beverages and snacks if desired. Guests are welcome and encouraged.

Today, more than ever, we need journalists to step up and become active in the fight for freedom of the press. Joining the Society of Professional Journalists is a great first step in that direction. Add your voice and efforts to what is really important in this field; making sure that the right to free speech and freedom of the press remains important in our society.

Please direct all questions to virginiaprospj@gmail.com. For more details on Triple Crossing Beer, visit triplecrossing.com.
