From June 20 to 27, our chapter will hold an election to fill officer positions and seats on the board of directors for the coming year.

Student fellowship funding and new SPJVA board member

The SPJVA board has allocated $1,500 to the SPJ,SDX Educational Foundation in support of the foundation’s fellowships for college journalists doing summer internships. Also, Reynolds Hutchins, editor of The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, was appointed to finish out the term of board member Hawes Spencer.
