George Mason Award Recipient Margie Fisher Dies at 73
Margie Fisher began her career at the Roanoke Times in the 1950s and went on to cover Virginia politics and write editorials for the southwest Virginia newspaper. In 2000 she was the recipient of the SPJ Virginia Pro Chapter’s George Mason Award, given annually to honor an individual’s contribution to Virginia journalism. 2010 Scholarship Applications Available
It’s scholarship time and we’re delighted to be awarding two $2,000 scholarships again this year.
